    Only complaints:guest bed mattresses are very hard, middle guest bathroom shower pressure is low. Would have loved to use their golf cart for a few of course or if they had bikes.

    We loved our stay at this house! The rooms were spotless and smelled wonderfully fresh and clean. The kitchen was well stocked, including many non-perishable staples (spices, etc.) that previous guests appear to have left. The location couldn't be beat, with easy access to the beach and grocery. The beach chairs, pool noodles, snorkels and masks that were available for our use were so welcome. The icing on the cake for us was marveling at the sunrises over Mauna Kea from the back lanai -- we didn't miss a one!

    Great neighborhood, loved the proximity to The Fairmont (which has tennis, great beach walk, good restaurants, etc.), the common area pool was very nice and never crowded, great grocery story 1 mile away (plus coffee and smoothies). House was a nice size and so nice for each bedroom to have a bathroom. Perfect for the 6 of us. Good value (other than all the taxes and fees that get added to the rental cost, which is common but still annoying). Some additions that would be great include better furniture in living room, TV in master bedroom, and bikes (noticed many of the other rentals include bikes, which would be very handy.) Would be great for the property management company to check in with guests in-person and explain the amenities (like the beach club, etc.) rather than rely on the binder. Overall, we had a great stay.

    Really beautiful house that was furnished nicely for one family. Great location. Loved the beach club access - very calm beach and great for younger kids and snorkeling right off the beach. Also loved that shampoo and body wash were provided. One less thing I had to worry about packing or buying. Beds were very comfortable. The only drawbacks are a definite lack of seating in living room if you want to watch a movie. exactly 5 spots to sit so Ok for one family. And the units are very close together with pretty thin walls - we had one family next door with 2 young boys who managed to wake all of us up in every bedroom by 6:30AM. Other than that the setting is beautiful with really nice pools and close to the Fairmont Orchid, which has a great Luau!

    I absolutely LOVED this home! It's beautifully decorated and furnished. I was taking pictures of everything because I wanted to copy some of the design ideas in my own home. The beds are comfy and the manager even had the sofa sleeper set up with bedding since we arrived late at night. The booking process was easy and there was a lot of communication prior to arrival. We were provided with arrival instructions and concierge info. The community has two separate pools and jacuzzi's. My kids had a blast swimming there. I walked the Kamilo community every morning. There's a Foodland close by for groceries, but next time I would definitely go to Kona first and buy groceries there since the resort store was so expensive. There was a smaller sandy beach close by but it seems that most of the beaches in this area are rocky. The sandy beach was great for snorkeling and had tons of fish! We will definitely be back!

    This rental was great for 2 families with small children. The house was beautiful, well maintained, and well appointed. The indoor space and layout was great. We had plenty of space to stretch out and also plenty of central space to spend time together. The location was great - close to multiple beaches, great restaurants, a wonderful grocery store and many island adventures. The Mauna Lani beach club pass was great and gave us easy access to a beautiful beach less than a 5 minute drive from the property. We were also a short drive from other amazing Big Island sandy beaches - Spencer Beach Park, Hanuma Bay, Beach 69, etc. The outdoor space was nice but note that the properties are very close together. The hammock mentioned is shared with 4 other cottages and during our stay, the hammock was in need of repair as it had broken strands. Additionally, the community pool is not heated which was an un-welcomed surprise for our December vacation. We had planned on spending post afternoon nap time at the pool with the kids, but the temperature was prohibitive. A heated pool during the winter months would make this place perfect! We will definitely hope to return and would recommend this property to others.

    This vacation rental was perfect for the grandparents to join us and our young children. Although there is not an ocean view, there was lawn space outside the front and back doors for our kids to run and get their energy out. Especially loved the hammock! So many beautiful beaches close by to choose from; we spent many days at the ocean! The single story ground level layout is excellent for those with mobility challenges. Loved being able to park inside the garage! The property manager and maintenance person were quick to resolve a small issue within hours & emails with the management company were always responded to quickly. This was our second stay in KaMilo and it was the pools, hot tubs, green space, and access to various parts of the island that brought us back. Additionally, all 3 bed mattresses are comfortable with high quality linens. You will not be disappointed staying at this clean, pleasantly decorated, modern home during your vacation!

    The cottage was very well maintained and included everything we needed for meals, recreation and enjoying the great weather. The unit is spacious and was quite comfortable for 6 adults and 2 children. And you can walk to or rent and ride a bike, all over the Mauna Lani area including the Mauna Lani Beach Club. Restaurants and shopping are also within walking distance. The pools and spas at the Kamilo recreation center were used by all as was the equipment in the gym. We have used VRBO extensively over the years and this was by far our best family experience. Perfect Spot!!
